THE WELLNESS PHILOSOPHY
The expression wellness is fairly new, though the concept has been around for years. Wellness is an active process of making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. A life-style of wellness creates a positive attitude toward self, others, and society in general. It is a willingness to learn and experience new ideas, and to establish a positive approach toward an imperfect life.
Let us explain wellness first:
- The quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, esp. as the result of deliberate effort.
- An approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing treating diseases.
Wellness is not just a pampering and feel good massage, nor is the intent to treat any injuries or medical problems.
Here we concentrate on relaxing muscle tissue and supporting the healing process of the body and treating any injuries. Our goal is to make sure your muscles are toned and relaxed, tensions eased out and aches soothed. Stimulation of the circulatory system is helping the body to bring nourishment and oxygen to the areas which need it. Your physical health is the base of all importance.
A wellness massage focuses on treating and supporting all parts of the recipient. It is a massage which looks at the person as a whole. If one element of our being is imbalanced, then the others will be affected negatively.
A wellness massage can give you deep relaxation and mediation, enabling you less stresses and worries. Massaging gives you a lot of energy and a fresh look. We must find the time to relax and walk away from life, and a massage allows you to do that.
Most importantly we care and give nourishment to our clients. Many of us need more touching in our lives, and a wellness massage provides that. Physical contact and closeness gives the client a chance to get in touch with themselves. The massage gives off boost of enjoyment and pleasure as many clients feel happy after a massage.
A wellness massage is a spiritual journey, giving clarity and much insight. On a spiritual level it provides energy and healing. One of the reasons why a client connects with one therapist and not another is due to the spiritual element and vibe in the room.
